Hubert Clyde Smith, 37, who lived in this community most of   his life, died at Culver hospital at 6:45 o'clock Friday evening.   Mr. Smith was born May 11, 1909 near Marshall and was the son of   Claude and Lulu Banta Smith. He married Jeanette McIntyre in 1928   in Waveland. The deceased was a member of the Waveland Masonic   lodge. He had worked for the past six years at Allison's in   Indianapolis. Surviving, besides his wife and parents, are a son,   Richard Smith at home, and three sisters, Mrs. Paul Branigan and   Mrs. Joe Gilliland of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Frona Pollitt of   Indianapolis. Hubert Clyde Smith, 37, died at Culver Hospital at 6:15 o'clock Friday evening. Mr. Smith was born May 11, 1909 near Marshall and was the son of Claude & Lulu Banta Smith. He married Jeanette McIntyre in 1928 in Waveland. The deceased was a member of the Waveland Masonic Lodge. He had worked for the past six years at Allison's in Indianapolis. Surviving besides his wife and parents are a son, Richard at home and three sisters: Mrs. Paul Branigan and Mrs. Joe Gilliland of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Frona Pollitt of Indianapolis. Funeral services for Mr. Smith were conducted in the Christian Church, Sunday afternoon by the Rev. Claude McCallister. Mr. NR Walker fornished the music. Burial was in Old Union Cemetery.
