Henry C. Smith expired while sitting on the porch at the home of his son, Forrest Smith on the Berryman Clore place, last Thursday afternoon. He had just returned from bringing water from the spring. The coroner gave a verdict of death from apoplexy. Funeral services at the Byron Christian Church on Sunday afternoon were conducted by Rev. Olin Stewart. Interment at Maple Ridge. He leaves one son, Forest and one daughter, Mrs. ER Wilkinson of Urbana, Ill. Mr. and Mrs. Wilkinson were here for the funeral. - kbz
