						  Funeral services for Andrew D. SMILEY were conducted at 2 p.m.
						  Saturday at the Parkeville Christian Church with Rev. Ray Britton
						  officiating. Pallbearers were Fred, Carl, Homer and Virgil
						  Smiley, Lee McSpadden and wayne Hazlett. They also assisted with
						  the flowers. Mrs. Roscoe White played selected hymns on the
						  piano. Interment was in Secedar Cemetery. Mr. Smiley, 87, died at
						  4:20 a.. Thursday at his home in Waveland. He had been seriously
						  ill the past week. He was a retired farmer and horseman, lived in
						  Parke County 83 years and on the same farm south of Milligan 73
						  years. He had lived in Waveland the past 4 years. Born July 26,
						  1871, the son of William Andrew and Sarah Burnside Smiley, he
						  married Aug 7, 1898 to Luella Banta at Judson. He attended Greene
						  Twp schools and Bloomingdale Academy. He was a member of the
						  Parkeville Christian Church. Survivors include the widow; a son,
						  Robert of Judson; four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Oldshue of
						  Indianapolis; Mrs. Ruth Lucas of Rockville; Mrs. Naomi Kearn of
						  New Market and Mrs. Roma Sturm of Chicago; a niece, Mrs. Jesse
						  McSpadden of Alamo; six grandchildren and 3 greats. He was
						  preceded in death by a daughter, Opal Smiley.
