From the Spokeman-Review of Spokane, Wash. is clipped the following notice of the death of Mrs. Effie Lucas Sivyer, formerly of this city:

“Mrs. W. C. Sivyer, of this city, died Friday evening at Denver, Col., while on the way home from the southwest. Her death was not entirely unexpected, for she had been ill for several years, but it was thought when she left Albuquerque, N. M. for home that she at least would live until she reached here. With her at the time of her death were her husband and her stepmother, Mrs. C. F. Lucas, of this city. The news came in a dispatch to Mr. Lucas. The body of Mrs. Sivyer will arrive here Tuesday on the O. R. & N. The funeral will take place Wednesday from the family residence, 813 Sixth Avenue, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, Rev. J. M. Allen officiating. Mrs. Sivyer, after a long illness resulting from lung trouble, left here with Mrs. Lucas ten weeks ago for the city of Mexico. They remained there only a short time, the altitude being too great for Mrs. Sivyer’s health. From there they went to Albuquerque, stopping for a time at El Paso. By a strange coincidence Mrs. Sivyer’s mother died at Albuquerque of consumption some years ago, having gone there from her home in Indiana. About two weeks ago Mr. Sivyer joined his wife at Albuquerque. They started home expecting to reach here tomorrow. Mrs. Sivyer was taken suddenly ill on the train and the party got off at Denver, where Mrs. Sivyer died. In addition to the widower, Mrs. Sivyer leaves one son, aged about ten years.
