Sims - Marshall

Marshall Sims, 71, of Cape Coral, Fla., father of Mrs. Betty Nichols of Crawfordsville, died Saturday at Ft. Myers, Fla., after a short illness. He was a member of the Kokomo Congregational Christian Church, Kokomo Isaac Walton League and the Kokomo Lions Club. Born Oct. 31, 1903, at Center, he was a son of Charles and Myrtle Burton Sims. He was married to Elta Cook, who survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Pat Levenduski of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Almo Rohde of North Hollywood, Calif., and Mrs. Nichols of here; a brother, Sidney of Greentown; three sisters, Mrs. June Schroeder of Greentown, Mrs. Marie Faust of Marion and Mrs. Catherine Allen of Kokomo; and five grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Peacock Funeral Home at Kokomo with the Rev. Donald Bartlett officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Garden at Kokomo. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. – jlr
