Simpson - Susan Galey

Mrs. J. M. Simpson died this morning at 9 o’clock at her home on Simpson Street. She had been ill for the past three months of heart and liver diseases. She was the daughter of Smith Galey, and was raised south of town on a farm. She was born fifty five years ago and in 1882 married to J. M. Simpson, who survives her. She has been a member of the Presbyterian Church since her youth, and for the last years of her life was connected with Center Church, being always a consistent and active Christian. Besides her family everyone of her wide circle of friends is a sincere mourner. The funeral will occur Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock with interment at the Masonic Cemetery.
