CARMEL -Franes Dukes Cox Simmerman, 58, of Carmel died Wednesday in St. Vincent’s Hospital in Carmel. Mrs. Simmerman was a receptionist at Midwest Hospital Supply. She was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders. She was also a Little Red Door volunteer. She was born Feb. 2, 1935, at Crawfordsville to Lawrence and Hazel Goldie Adamson Dukes. Survivors include her husband, Harry; two sons, Ronald Cox of Indianapolis and Larry Cox of Avon; two daughters, Becky Wodtke of Avon and Statia Massafaro of Indianapolis; two brothers, Herbert of Bloomington and Byron of Clermont; a sister, Martha Jo McGaughey of Russellville, and 10 grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Smith Funeral Home at Carmel with the Rev. Neill Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery at Russellville. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Little Red Door. --dkd
