Sies, Ruby
Source: Crawfordsville Daily Journal 29 July 1892 p 3
Passing mention was made in The Journal several days ago of the runaway in which Ruby Sies, the fourteen year old daughter of a family residing in the valley, was badly injured. The accident occurred while she and her brother were delivering clothes and was occasioned by some children playing with her horse, which is old, and had been considered perfectly harmless. The animal ran off and Ruby was thrown out and striking on her head was picked up and carried home. She has continued to grow worse and it is now feared that she cannot recover. Her brain is injured and the probable result of her injuries will be death.
