Carole Ann Siekerman, 66, died at 7:28 a.m. March 25, 2006 of lymphoma cancer at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born Dec 19, 1939 in Crawfordsville, Ind to Joseph C. and Beulah Mae Stuckey LaFollette, who preceded her in death. On Feb 1, 1964 she married Monty Siekerman, who survives in Ada. Mrs. Siekerman was a homemaker. She previously worked for the Ada Herald as the family news editor. She was a tutor at Ohio Northern University in the Communication Skills Center. She was a member of Riley Creek Baptist Church, rural Bluffton where she was a Sunday school teacher, a pianist and member of the Women’s Missionary Society. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, Ohio Northern University Faculty Wives, the Compassionate Friends and the Ada Public Library board of directors. She was the discussion group leader of Bible Study Fellowship in Findlay. She was a 1962 graduate of Hanover College where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. Survivors include a daughter, Beth (Tim) Downing of Malinta; a granddaughter, Madison Downing; two brothers, Jack (Cathy) LaFollette of Warsaw, Ind and Bill (Linda) LaFollette of Winslow, Ill; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Pam and Jack Justus of Nashville, Ind and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Amy (Kyle) Miller and a daughter, Meg Siekerman. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. Pastor David Lanquist will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today and until the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
