Harry Siamas, 77, of 415 School St., died at his home at noon Sunday after an extended illness. He was born in 1887 to John and Areta Pittas Siamas in Elfertian, Greece. He was married to Helen Geron in 1922 at Lebanon. Mr. Siamas was a member of the American Legion, the Trinity Helenic Orthodox Church in Indianapolis, a veteran of World War I and a member of the Veterans of World War I club of Montgomery County. He moved to Crawfordsville in 1933 and had been in the restaurant business all his life. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Areta Kaitson of Crawfordsville; two sons, John, police chief here, and 1st Lt. Thomas Siamas of the U. S. Air Force stationed in Labrador; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews and a brother and two sisters in Greece. There will be a service at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The body will then be taken to the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church at 40th and Pennsylvania Sts., in Indianapolis for a service at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The body will lie in state from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday at Hunt & Son Rev. Steve A. Prodromides will officiate the service in Indianapolis. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Crawfordsville. – jlr
