Simms - Susan Anna

Susan Anna SIMMS was born Oct 17, 1864 at Alamo, Indiana, the daughter of Mathew R. and Ruzilla SCOTT. Her early life was spent in that community. At an early age she united with the Mehtodist church in Wayentown, indiana. She was united in marriage on July 9 1887 to Charles Edward Simms at Peoria, Illinois, who preceded her in death. To this union was born two sons: William A. Simms of Waveland and Mathew S. Simms of Tulsa, Ok. The family moved from Waynetown to Waveland in 1908. Her life has always been a very active one. She took a very great interest in service to others. Favored with a strong physical construction she spent her life in tireless activity. As her muscular activity lessend, her joy in this life lessened also. She fell and broke her limb on Jan 17, 1942. On April 16, 1942, she depart ed this life at the age of 77 years and 6 months. Today she rests in the Eternal home with God. Surviving besides her two sons are 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She leaves a host of friends to mourn her loss.. The funeral was conducted Sunday at 2 by Rev CN McBrayer. Burial at Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown. - typed by kbz
