C.E. Simms went to Lebanon Monday to assist Joe Kelley in a balloon
ascension. The intention was to take two men up, tandem, on two
parachutes and make a double drop. The weight of the extra man and
parachute broke Kelly's hold when he was about 40' in the air. He fell
on his side but escaped without any broken bones.
