Waynetown - William E. Shultz, 88, died at 7:10 a.m.. Friday at his home here. He had been in failing health several years and seriously ill 3 months. Born Sept 21, 1873, in Tippecanoe County, he was a son of N.W and Rosa Haas Shultz. He was married Nov 14, 1898 to May Meek. They were married here and spent all of their married life in this community. Mr Shultz attended Grenard School in Coal Creek Township. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; a son, Clyde of Waynetown; a daughter, Mrs. Forrest Gray of Waynetown; two brothers, R.D. of Forest Park, Ill and Clifford of Alexandria; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Towell of Danville, Ill; four grandsons, Dale Gray of Crawfordsville; Dean Gray of Noblesville; Paul Gray of Gaston and James Shultz of Crawfordsville; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral rites are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Servies Funeral Home here. Rev. Lewis Poore will officiate. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may pay their respected at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Sunday.
