WAYNETOWN, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. May Shultz, 93, died at 4:40 p.m. yesterday (June 3, 1969) at Culver Hospital, in Crawfordsville. She had been a patient since May 14, after falling in her home and fracturing her hip. Born Feb. 5, 1876 in Fountain County, she was the daughter of Thomas and Rachel Hayes Meek. She was married Nov. 14, 1898 to William E. Shultz, who preceded her in death in June 1962. Mrs. Shultz was the oldest living member of the Waynetown Baptist Church and a charter member of its Ladies Aid. She was educated in Wayne Township schools. Survivors include a son, Clyde Shultz of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Forrest (Ersie) Gray of Waynetown; four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild and a brother, Perry Meek of Danville, Ill. She was preceded in death by a son in infancy, a great-grandson, two brothers and two sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
