Shuler - Willard

Willard Shuler, 81, resident of this city the past 39 years died at his home, 1809 E. Michigan St at 3:45 o'clock Monday afternoon. His death was caused by heart trouble. Mr. Shuler was born near Wallace Aug 22, 1858 the son of Felix and Jane Shuler, pioneers in Fountain County. He spent all his life in Fountain and Montgomery counties. On March 9, 1884 he married Rachel McKinzie who survives. In 1934 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Mr. Shuler was a member of the Baptist Church. In addition to the widow, a brother, Berry (?) Shuler of Covington and several nieces and nephews survive. Funeral services will be held at Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Eldon Coons of Claremont in charge. - kbz
