Shular - William David

William D. Shular, 85, resident of this community most of his life, died at the home of his son, Ed Shular on Wayne Avenue, Thursday morning at 7:10 o'clock. Death followed an illness of 7 months. The deceased was born at Alamo on March 23, 1848 the son of Felix and Nancy Jane Shular. He was first married to Mary Jane Bowers who died many years ago. His second marriage was to Eve C. Hill, who also preceded him in death. The deceased who was a gardner, was a member of the Wallace Christian Church. The survivors include 3 sons, Ed at whose home he died, Frank Shular and John Shular of Kingman; two brothers, Willard Shular of this city and Berry Shular of Covington; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Belle Leath, preceded him in death. The funeral services will be held at the Proffitt & Son Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. John Servies in charge. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. It is requested that flowers be omitted.
