Clarks Hill, Feb 2 – Mrs. Mary Leona Shriver, 75, died of heart trouble at 9:30 a.m. today in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. Mrs. Shriver was born west of Colfax, a daughter of Milton B and Sarah (Sailsbury) Waugh. In 1885 she was married to John D. Shriver and the couple observed their 55th anniversary last October. A member of the Clarks Hill Methodist Church, she was active in all church activities and was known throughout the community for her charity and benevolence. She was also a member of the local OES having served as treasurer of that organization for 25 years and of the DAR at Crawfordsville. Surviving besides her husband are four daughters: Miss Eva Shriver, Valparaiso; Mrs. EW Barnes and Miss Mary L. Shriver, both of Hackensack, NJ; and Mrs. GB Cummins, West Lafayette; two sons: MB of Berkeley, Cal; and Fred, Oakland, Cal; a sister, Mrs. William Fisher, Thorntown; a brother, John M. Waugh, Colfax and five grandchildren. Friends may call at the family residence. Funeral services will be private at the family residence here at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. JP Alford officiating; burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Crawfordsville. - kbz
