Linden News – William Shotts passed away last Monday morning about 11 o’clock at his home near Linden. He had been in Texas for several years and was one of the men who helped deepen Galveston bay. He returned home last fall and was then a sufferer from what is supposed to have been consumption. This disease crept on until death relieved him of all his sufferings. The funeral was held at the home last Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock and he was laid to rest in the Linden cemetery.
