Indianapolis - Bruce Short, 75, Indiana Toll Road Commission secretary in the second administration of ex-Gov. Henry F. Schricker, died Sunday at his home here. An active Democrat, Short graduated form Purdue University in 1908. He served as Fountain County surveyor for four years after graduation and was Marion County surveyor from 1930-1936. He was a native of Hillsboro but had lived in Indianapolis 31 years. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Marguerite Short and a daughter, Annette Short, Indianapolis. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Crumley Funeral Home, Hillsboro with burial in Hillsboro cemetery.

Hillsboro - Funeral services for Bruce Short who died in Indianapolis early Sunday morning were held at the Crumley Funral Home in Hillsboro Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Ron Carlson officiating. Organ music was by Mrs. Lucy Crumley. Pallbearers were William Allen; Clarence Short; John Charles Linville; Kenneth Soan; Rolland Keeling and Harold Bantz. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro.
