WINGATE -- Noble Edward Shobe, 52, died Sunday at 4:45 a. m. at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where he had been a patient since Dec. 11. Born Sept, 18, 1905 in Wingate, he was the son of Edward and Lillie Goldsberry Shobe. He spent all of his life in Wingate. A member of the Methodist Church, he was also a member of the Wingate American Legion post and a graduate of Wingate High School. Mr. Shobe was a World War II Army veteran. He had been employed at Lafayette for the past 15 years. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Elodie Williams and Mrs. Mayme Crane, both of Wingate; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Hattie Shobe of Wingate; a brother-in-law, Virgil Williams of Waynetown; and two nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with. R. T. Ludden officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
