Shoaf - Troy

ROCKVILLE – Troy Eston Shoaf, 72, Rt. 2 Kingman, died Sunday night in the Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton where he had been a patient three days. He had been in ill health most of his life and seriously ill one week. Born July 22, 1893 in Fountain County, Mr. Shoaf was the son of James and Lizzie Wendal Shoaf. Survivors include two brothers, Cedric Shoaf, Rt. 2 Kingman, with whom he had made his home the past 34 years, and Harry Shoaf of Covington; a sister, Mrs. Tressie Harvey of Rockville, and several nieces and nephews. The parents, a brother and sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Tudor Funeral Home, with burial at the Miller Cemetery, east of Lodi. Rev. Alfred Dobbs will be the officiating minister. Friends may call at the funeral home. – jlr
