FRANKFORT – Mrs. Louis (Evans) Shideler, 68, a native of Crawfordsville, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wesley Manor here. Mrs. Shideler was graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1920 and from Sweetbriar College in 1924. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was born March 11, 1900 a daughter of Frank C. and Etta (Crabbs) Evans. Her father was a prominent Crawfordsville business leader and was active in Boy Scout work in the area. She moved to Frankfort from Pittston, Pa., where she had lived 39 years. Surviving are her husband, Richard B Shideler; a brother, Benjamin S. Evans Sr. of Santa Monica, Calif., and two nephews, Benjaman Evans Jr. of Washington, D.C., and Daniel Evans, president of L. S. Ayres Co. at Indianapolis. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Amanda Reid Memorial Chapel at Wesley Manor, where the body will lie in state beginning at 9:30 a.m., with Rev. Carlyle Mason officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may pay respects at Goodwin Funeral Home at Frankfort from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. – jlr
