VEEDERSBURG— An 85-year-old Veedersburg man, Roscoe Shaw, succumbed Saturday afternoon in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., to injuries received late Friday night in a car-truck accident west of here on U. S. 136. Shaw was riding in a car being driven by Beulah McCrocklin of Terre Haute when it stalled on the highway. A pick-up truck being driven by Guy Bell of Williamsport slammed into the auto, officers reported. Another passenger in the auto, Richard Burdelow, 53, of Terre Haute, was treated for minor injuries and released from St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mr. Shaw was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Oaktown, Ind., and the Sterling Christian Church here. He had lived in Veedersburg the past 17 years. A Gibson County native, he was born July 17, 1884, to William and Laura (Wilkinson) Shaw. His first marriage was to Flossie Endicott. He later was married to Juanita Morgan of Veedersburg. Both preceded him in death. Surviving are a son, George of Oklahoma City and a brother, Carl of Haubstadt, Ind. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Parham Funeral Home here with Rev. James Dyson officiating. Additional services will be conducted at New Liberty Church at Cynthiana, Ind., at 2:30. Burial will be in Cynthiana. Friends may call at the funeral home. --typed by Walt W
