Sharp - Ross Perry

Ladoga, March 8 - Ross Perry Sharp, 59, prominent resident of the Ladoga community died at 3:30 o'clock Friday morning at Culver Hospital where he became a patient the previous day. Mr. Sharp had been in declining health for the past sevearl weeks. Born near Ladoga, July 18, 1886, Mr. Sharp was the son of Madison A. and Arminda C. Sharp. On September 25, 1906 he married Miss Lillie May Jeffries of Crawfordsville. For many years, Mr. and Mrs. Sharp resided on a farm near Ladoga. More recently, however, he had been field man for the Ladoga Canning Company. Mr. Sharp was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Ladoga Christian Church in which he was also a deacon. Mr. Sharp is survived by his widow; one son, James M. Sharp of Columbus; three daughtesr, Mrs. Wallace Lewellyn of Ladoga; Mrs. Harold McIlvain of Indianapolis and Mrs. Harry Kelbaugh of Baltimore, Md and 9 grandchildren. A daughter died in infancy. Mr. Sharp is also survived by his brother Roy M. Sharp of North Salem and two sisters, Mrs. Ed Lough of Ladoga and Miss Lora E. Sharp of Indianapolis. The body will be at the Cox Funeral Home in Ladoga where friends may call to pay their respects. Funeral services will be conducted from the Christian Church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon with the body lying in state at the church for one hour before the service.
