Interment at IOOF cemetery. Funeral services occurred at the Presbyterian Church Feb 15 at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. JG Black, assisted by Revs. Trotter and Worrall. – p 7 Our Lodge of Braves at this place did a fine act on the death of the wife of their brother, JQ Shannon. Instead of leaving the grave to be dug by the sexton they went and did the work themselves and so decorated the grave as to clear it of the dread we all feel in seeing our friends laid away. We commend this action to all our orders. - kbz
