WAYNETOWN -- Iva May Shafer, 92, of 801 Chandler St., Danville, Ill., died suddenly at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Irene Nixon, of Rt. 1, Waynetown. She was a former employe of the Grab-It-Here Store at Danville. Mrs. Shafer was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church at Danville where she had taught a Sunday School class for 35 years. She was born near Covington on Feb. 24, 1884, a daughter of Patrick and Melessa Orahood Boner. She married Walter S. Shafer on Dec. 24, 1905. He died in 1952. Surviving besides the daughter are a son, Paul B. of Danville; a grandson; a foster grandson; and five foster great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Thomas Funeral Home here with Dr. Walter Ewert officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. --typed by Walt W
