Shuler - Eston

Wallace -- Eston Shuler, 70, died at his home in Wallace shortly after
Monday midnight, following an extended illness. He has been in
ill health since 1939 and seriously ill for 17 months following a
stroke. Mr. Shuler was born May 12, 1885 at Wallace, the son of
Charles and Marander Shuler. He was twice married and both of his
wives preceded him in death. He was first married March 4,1 914
to Oda Roach, who died in 1923. His second marriage was to Amma
Rudisill who died in 1941. Mr. Shuler was a carpenter by trade
and conducted his business at Wallace for a number of years. He
also was trustee of Jackson Twp for a four year term. He held
membership in the Masonic Lodge 495 at Wallace. Survivors include
a daughter, Miss Lillian Shuler, who resides in Monticello; two
brothers, Glenn and Herschell both of Wallace; two sisters, Mrs.
Ada Cory of Hillsboro and Mrs. Ruby Sowers of Wallace and two
grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Apalma
Rudisill who has been his housekeeper for some time and a
daughter-in-law, Geraldine Shuler of Crawfordsville. In addition
to both of his wives, 3 children preceded Mr. Shuler in death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday Jan 26 at 2 p.m. at the
Lutheran Church in Wallace, with Rev. Alan Kieffer as the
officiating minister. Burial in Cemetery adjoining the Church.
