N. B. SHARPE, one of Frankfort and Clinton County's best known
men died Friday night at 11 o'clock at the home of his son, Ivan
Sharp (sic) who resides 3 miles east of the city, his death being
due to injuries sustained last Friday when he was kicked by a
horse. His son being sick, Mr. Sharp went to the barn to assist
in the feeding and went into a stall beside one of the horses.
The animal showed no signs of viciousness at the time but after
Mr. Sharp had come within reach of the animal, it turned on him
and made a vicious attack. Before Mr. Sharp could leave the stall
the animal had kicked him in the forehead with both hind feet.
The blows rendered the man unconscious and the farm hand hearing
the commotion hurried to the stall. He found Mr. Sharp laying on
the floor unconscious and bleeding from the wound extending
entirely across the forehead. The injured man was removed from
the stall and carried into the house and physicians were called
to care for him. ( This copy ends here.)
