Seybold - Rose Galey

Rose A. Galey, daughter of B. M. and Paulina Galey, was born near Browns Valley August 24, 1869. A part of her girlhood was spent in Indianapolis with her grandmother, Mrs. Isabella Armstrong, and while there, became a member of Central Christian Church. November 11, 1891 she married Frank Seybold. To them were born 3 daughters, Mollie Ruth; Mabel and Edith, the latter now 7 months old. Mrs. Seybold was sick a few days with pneumonia and died April 2, about 4 in the morning. Besides the husband and daughters, she leaves a brother, Fisher Galey of Browns Valley; two sisters, Mrs. JL Carrington and Miss Sally Galey of Indianapolis and the grandmother, Mrs. Armstrong. Mrs. Seybold was a woman of excellent character who acquitted herself well in every relation of life and her loss will be deeply felt by all who knew her. The funeral services at the Christian Church at 2 Sunday afternoon were conducted by Rev EE Moorman. The body was laid to rest in Maple Ridge Cemetery, north of town. - kbz
