Joseph Dwayne Sewell, 41, of Indianapolis, a native of Montgomery County, died today in Community Hospital at Indianapolis. He was employed by the Indiana State Highway Commission in the design department for 22 years. He was a member of Hansing Park Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Janice; a daughter, Mrs. Timothy (Connie) Sparks of Indianapolis; two sons, Gary Joseph and Timothy Lee, both of Indianapolis; his mother, Mrs. Ina Sewell Willits of Indianapolis; a brother, Robert of Coatsville; three sisters, Mrs. Morton Bran of Hollandale, Fla., and Mrs. Joseph Todd Jr. and Mrs. Charles West Jr., both of Speedway; and a granddaughter. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Dorsey-Fenney Mortuary, 3925 E. New York St., Indianapolis, with the Rev. Richard Justice officiating. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday. The family requests that memorials be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.--waw
