- Charles P. SEWELL, 50, died unexpectedly en route to Culver Hospital Tuesday at 2:45 a.m. He had worked for 19 years at RR Donnelley & Sons as a Linotype operator. A 1934 graduate of Russellville HS he served with the Marines during WWII. He was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Crawfordsville. He was born Dec 9, 1915 in Bellmore to Milton & Ordelia Proctor Sewell. He married Mary Alexander in Crawfordsville Jan 21, 1938. Survivors include the widow; step mother, Mrs. Lola Sewell of Craawfordsville; two sons, Lawrence Russell Sewell and Milton Fred Sewell, both of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Dale Linker of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Russell P. Sewell of Lizton and Frank Sewell of Richmond; four sisters, Mrs. Lela Hester and Mrs. Rose Reams, both of Crawfordsville; Mrs. William Fox of East St. Louis, Ill, and Mrs. Wanda Hedge of Jamestown and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.. Thursday at the Holy Cross Church, Crawfordsville with Rev. Daniel H. Pokorny in Indianapolis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Friends may call at Hunt & Son Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Wednesday. -- kbz
