Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie E. Servies, 82, of Rt. 4, Crawfordsville, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 7 o'clock tonight. Mrs. Servies, wife of Rev. John R. Servies, retired minister who served this area for many years, died early Monday morning in Culver Hospital. She had been in failing health since suffering a broken pelvis in a fall Oct. 9. She was a member of the Christian Union Church near Waynetown and Ladies Aid of the Church. She was a member of Wallace Order of Eastern Star Chapter 415. Mrs. Servies was educated in the old Black Creek Valley School. Born Sept. 25, 1889, near Crawfordsville, she was a daughter of Valentine and Jennie Hole Stout. She and Rev. Servies were married Sept. 27, 1906. Survivors include her husband, four sons, Edward of Indianapolis, Leslie of Norfolk, Va., John R. of Greenville, Miss., and Gordon of Greer, S. C.; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Lane and Mrs. Paul (Doris) Hendricks, both of Rt. 4; a brother, Floyd Stout of Crawfordsville; 29 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by infant twins, one a son and the other a daughter, and another son, Lawrence, and daughter, Mrs. Pauline Grantham
