Harry F. Servies, 69, formerly a merchant here, died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Culver Hospital where he had been a patient for a week with a heart ailment. He lived at 408 W. Pike St. Mr. Servies was a partner in a meat market here for 20 years. He was later employed at the Allison Division of General Motors at Indianapolis for 20 years. Since 1962, he had been employed at Wabash College. Born Aug. 30, 1895, in Montgomery County, he was the son of John and Mary Catherine Servies. He was married April 23, 1919, to Harriett Feeley in Crawfordsville. Mr. Servies was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Montgomery Lodge No. 50, F & AM., and the Scottish Rite. Survivors include the widow; a foster son, William Patton of Indianapolis; three brothers, William Servies of Nashville, Tenn., Charles Servies of Noblesville and Rev. John Servies of Crawfordsville, and five sisters, Lillie Booker of Crawfordsville, Mary Buchanan of Penrose, N.C., Frances High of Hot Springs, Ark., Georgia Abernathy of Chicago and Winifred Rawson of Washington, D. C. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Episcopal Church, with Rev. Roy Turner in charge. Burial will be in Washington Park North Cemetery at Indianapolis. Friends may call at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home afternoon Friday.
