Servies - Grace Demoret

Mrs. Grace D. Servies, 80, died at her home in New Market Thursday. She had lived in and around New Market most of her life. Mrs. Servies was born Aug. 5, 1881, in Montgomery County, the daughter of James F. and Clara A. Saylor Demoret. She was married to Thomas A. Servies on Oct. 23, 1901, near New Market. She and her husband owned and operated a greenhouse at New Market for 25 years. She was a member of the New Market Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Raymond of New Market and Lawrence of Waveland; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Middleton of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Blair Burnight of Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Roy Demoret of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Otis Hall of Boston, Mass., and Mrs. Hazel Busenbark of New Market; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd, and her husband. Funeral services will at 2 p.m. Monday at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home, New Market, with Rev. John Servies officiating, assisted by Rev. Clyde Myers. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Crawfordsville.
