Sennett - Clarence - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Clarence A. Sennett, 50 years old, farmer, residing one mile north of Waynetown was crushed to death Thursday morning when his clothing became entangled in the shaft of a corn sheller at the Boldt Milling Company in Waynetown. He died at Culver Hospital at 11:30 a.m. a few minutes after being brought to the local insitution by ambulance from Waynetown. The accident occurred about 10 a.m. Mr. Sennett suffering fracutres of both ankles and internal wounds. A native of Illinois, Mr. Sennett moved to the vicinity of Waynetown in 1926 and had resided in that community since then. He had devoted his life to farming but in recent months had occasionally assisted with the work at the Boldt Milling Company.  Surviving are: the widow, Blanche Bennett, a son, Merle Bennett, serving with the US Naval Forces at Peru, a daughter, Lois who is employed in theoffice of the Boldt Company and a number of brothers and sisters, residing in Illinois. The body was taken to the Grenard & Servies funeral home in Waynetown pending arrangements for the services. - kbz
