Harvey See, comptroller-manager of the municipally-owned Crawfordsville Electric Light & Power Co., died late Saturday morning after a heart attack. See was entering a taxi in front of his home, 308 W. Market St., when he was stricken. The fire department resuscitator was called to the scene and he was rushed to Culver Hospital. He was pronounced dead on arrival there. See had been in charge of the light plant operations for several years but prior to that time he was an examiner for the State Board of Accounts for a quarter of a century. The only immediate survivor is a son, Byron Austin See, a foreign language expert with the U.S. Air Force.

Funeral services for G. Harvey See, 73, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Milo Riggs of the First Baptist Church, in charge, burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. Mr. See, comptroller-manager of the Crawfordsville Electric Light & Power Co., died of a heart attack Saturday morning as he entered a taxicab at his home, 308 W. Market St. George Harvey See was a native of Denver, Ind., born June 18, 1892 to Walter and Alice Eikenberry See. He was married in 1918 to Zelma Jackson, who died in 1958. Mr. See for 30 years was an examiner for the State Board of Accounts, specializing in utility work. He resigned in July of 1959 to become comptroller of the then newly created Utility Service Board here. Prior to employment with the State Board of Accounts he was chief clerk four years for the State Fire Marshal office. Reared in Miami County, he attended commercial schools in Peru and Detroit and through extension universities studied all phases of accounting. He was an accountant six years for the Wabash Railroad at Peru and Montpelier, Ohio, and in the transportation department of the Grand Trunk Railroad at Detroit. Mr. See was a Marine veteran of World War I. After his discharge from military service he became sales manager for the Peru Ford agency. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, of Lodge 67 (Peru-Miami) of F&AM, Scottish Rite, Shrine and the local commandery of Knights Templar, and also was a member of the Elks Lodge and American Legion. Surviving are a son, Byron A. See, a language specialist with the U.S. Air Force and stationed at San Angelo, Tex., and two brothers, Carl of Mexico, Ind., and Walter of Columbus, Ohio. A sister, Mrs. Alverna Wright, is deceased.
