Mrs. Zelma Abagail
Jackson See, 59, wife of George Harvey See, died at noon Thursday in Culver
Hospital. She had been ill 18 months.
Born July 13, 1897, in
the Youngs Chapel neighborhood, Mrs. See was the daughter of David Chambers
Jackson and Eliza Jane Messmore Jackson. She married George Harvey See
September 19, 1915.
Active in church and
civic affairs most of her life, Mrs. See was a member of the First Baptist
Church, Order of Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, Flowers Lovers Club,
Crawfordsville Music Club and the Morning Musicale.
She also was a past
president of the Peru Chapter of Eastern Star, Peru Unit of the Legion
Axillary, Crawfordsville Music Club and Morning Musicale. She also was
active in arranging and presenting programs over Radio Station WBBS.
Mrs. See was a graduate
of the Crawfordsville High School and the Irvington School of Music in
Indianapolis.
Surviving besides the
husband, are a son, Byron A. See, three brothers, Robert Clifford and Eston
Jackson, and a sister, Mrs. C.R. Fuller.
Funeral services will
be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hunt and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be at
Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. Carlson Christensen will be the officiating
minister. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday. –
