Scott - Farrice McCammon

Mrs. Farrice McCammon Scott died at her home on E. Howard St. on Saturday, after only two days illness with pneumonia. Funeral services at the home on Monday were conducted by Rev. O.S. Stewart. Those present from a distance were: Mr. & Mrs. Ottie Norman and Mr. & Mrs. Orville Gordon of Parkeville, and Miss Frances McCammon of Crawfordsville and Wallace Scott of Darlington. The following obituary was read: Farrice McCammon Scott, the daughter of John and Florence McCammon was b. Aug 21, 1886 and died Nov 9, 1918, being 32 years and 3 months old. She was united in marriage Nov 29, 1911 to Samuel Scott. To this union was born one child, a daughter, Florence Mae. Farrice was a lifetime member of the Christian Church at Parkeville where she was born. Besides a husband and daughter, she leaves one sister, Frances McCammon of Crawfordsville; one half sister, Naomi; and one half brother, Harold McCammon and a host of friends. Naomi is in Washington, DC and Harold is at Norfolk, Va. in the Marines. Neither could come. She was laid to rest in Raccoon Cemetery, near Parkeville, where her father and mother preceded her to the grave when she was a small girl. -- kbz
