Information has been received here of the death of Mrs. Catharine Scott, at Chillicothe, O., the place of her birth, on last Tuesday morning. Her death occurred while at breakfast and as she had been only slightly ailing, and had not been confined to her bed at all, her sudden summons was a terrible shock to her family and relatives. She was the widow of James B. Scott, of Chillicothe, and the oldest sister of Mrs. Mary Palmer, who died in this city in July, and of Mrs. Milton Galey, deceased some years. She was born in 1827, and for sixty years of her life had been identified with the Methodist Church. She formerly visited frequently her sisters here and was highly esteemed by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. -s
