Schultz - Rosa Haas

Waynetown, Dec 19 - Mrs. Rosa Schultz, 87, for many years a resident of this place, died at the home of her son, Reuben Schultz, in Chicago, Monday night at 7:40 o'clock. Mrs. Schultz, who had been in failing health for the past two years, had been seriously ill for two weeks. Born at Newtown on Aug 23, 1852, she was the daughter of Jacob and Amelia Haas. She was married more than a half-century ago to N.W. Schultz, whose death occurred in 1892. She lived for many years in Waynetown but for the past few years had been living with her children. Mrs. Schultz had been a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church many years. Survivors include 4 sons, William of Waynetown, Guy and Clifford of Muncie and Reuben at whose home she died; one daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Powell of Danville, Ill; 9 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The body will arrive in Waynetown Wednesday noon and will be taken to Grenard Funeral Home where the funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, with Rev. I.C. Overman in charge.
