WAYNETOWN — Lee S. Schlosser, 86, died at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville where he had been a patient two weeks. He had been in failing health one year and seriously ill 10 days. Mr. Schlosser was employed as a blacksmith from his youth until his retirement at age 74. He served on the town board of trustees for 16 years and was a 60-year member of Waynetown Masonic Lodge 302. Born March 15, 1879, at Waynetown, he was a son of Joseph and Fannie Richer Schlosser. He was married in April of 1909 to Fannie Dodge, who died Feb. 1, 1961. Mr. Schlosser was educated in Waynetown schools. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mrs. P. L. Hedge of Danville; two step-grandsons, James and Paul Hedge of Danville; and several nieces and nephews, among them Max B. Miller who was reared in the Schlosser home but who now resides at Indianapolis. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Servies Funeral Home here with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery here. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. The Masonic Lodge will conduct services at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Thursday.
