Waynetown -- Mrs. Fanny Alice SCHLOSSER, 85, for more than half a century a resident of this community died at her home here at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday after a month's illness. She had been in failing health the past two years. She was born Oct 27, 1875 in Lafayette to Jacob and Suda McDowel Blacker and married Lee Schlosser in Waynetown, April 20, 1909. Mrs. Schlosser was a member of the Waynetown Methoidst Church, 4th Worthy Matron of Waynetown Chapter OES, and an officer in the former Flower Lovers Club. She came here from Wingate 53 years ago and until her marriage was employed in her brother's bakery. Survivors include the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Mamie Dodge Hedge of Danville, Ind; two grandsons, Paul Hedge of Scottsburg and James Hedge of New Castle; 3 great grandchildren and two brothers, John D. (Jack) Blacker of Romney and Matt Blacker of Indianapolis. Preceding her in death were three brothers, Hoyt, Roy and Harry Blacker and a sister in infancy. Services are announced for 2 p.m. EST Friday at Servies Funeral Home here Rev. Guy E.Tremaine will officiate and interment will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
