Henry T. SCHENCK, prominent local citizen died suddenly at the home of his son, Dr. FO Schenck, west of the city, Saturday afternoon at 3. Mr. Schenck was stricken while sitting in the yard of his son's home and died in less than 10 minutes. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been in failing health since he suffered a similar attack last December. He had been making his home with his son for the past few days, before that time living in this city. Mr. Schenck was born Oct 31, 1853 in this city the son of Ruleff and Mary Schenck. he was married to Isabelle Orr in February 1877. Mrs. Schenck passed away in 1925. he wa sa well known man locally, having served on the city council for 4 years and for many years was a member of the volunteer fire department. He followed the trade of sheet metal worker but had retired several years before his death. He had been a member of the Red Man's lodge for over 40 years. Funeral services will be held at the Hunt & Ratcliff Funeral Home Tuesday morning at ten o'clock with Rev. MY Oggel in charge. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. -- kbz
