Waynetown – Forest Wilbur Schenck, 73, a farmer and native of Wayne Township died in his home 5 miles south of here at 1:50 a.m. Friday. He had been ill two years. A graduate of Waynetown HS and Crawfordsville Business College, he was a former director of the Montgomery County Co-Operative Association and former officer of the Wayne Township Farm Bureau. Mr. Schenck was married to Opal Berry in 1912 and was a member of Christian Union Church, Waynetown Masonic Lodge 302 and Waynetown Chapter 435, Order of Eastern Star. Surviving with the widow are three sons, Willis and Eddie of Rt 2, Waynetown and Wendell of Rt 4, Crawfordsville and two daughters, Mrs. Edward Lare, of Rt 2, Waynetown and Mrs. Jack Flocker of Cairo, Egypt. – kbz

Waynetown- Forest Wilbur Schenck, 73, lifelong Wayne Township resident, died at 1:30 a.m. Friday at his home located 5 miles south of Waynetown. He had been ill for two years prior to his death. Mr. Schenck had been a farmer all his life and was also an active member of the Christian Union Church near Waynetown. He was a member of the Christian Union Church near Waynetown. He was a member of the Waynetown Masonic Lodge 302 and Waynetown Chapter OES 435. He was a former director of the Montgomery County Coop and former officer of the Wayne Townshp Farm Bureau. Born March 20, 1891, in Wayne Township, Mr. Schenck was the son of James Oscar and Nancy Ellen Westfall Schenck. In 1912, he married Opal Berry at the home place 5 miles south of Waynetown. He attended Waynetown and Ball schools and graduated the now defunct Crawfordsville Business College. Mr. Schenck was preceded in death by a grandson, Dale and two sisters, Mrs. alta Hughes and Mrs. Era Murphy. Survivors include the widow; three sons, Willis and Eddie of Rt 2, Wayentown and Wendell of Rt 4, Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Ed Larew of Rt 2, Waynetown and Mrs. Jack Flocker of Cairo, Egypt; 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A niece and nephew also survive. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown; Rev. John R Servies and Rev. Ralph Watson will officiate. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday. - kbz

WAYNETOWN -- Funeral services for Forest W. Schenck were held from the Servies Funeral Home, Sunday afternoon. The officiating ministers were Rev. John R. Servies and Rev. Ralph Watson. Mrs. Mary Mullen played organ selections and accompanied Mrs. Elizabeth Kirkpatrick who sang: "There's No Night There." Serving as pall bearers and assisting with the flowers were a grandson and grandson-in-laws: Keith Schenck, Phil Comingore, Harry Lee Fruits, Leon Coperki, Charles R. McMurry, William Connell and Melvin Vance. The burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
