Ethel V. Schenck, 92, Ellettsville and former of Spencer and Montgomery County died Sunday in Richland Bean Blossom Healthcare at Ellettsville. Mrs. Schenck was a homemaker and ran the Windmill Inn Restaurant in Crawfordsville. The restaurant was part of a sale barn for livestock that she helped her husband operate. She was a member of Christian Union Church in Montgomery County and attended Spencer Christian Church. She was also a member of the Waynetown Eastern Star. She graduated from Waynetown High School in 1925. She was born Nov 1, 1906 in Montgomery County to James and Hannah Ball Switzer. She married Kenneth Schenck. He died in 1994. Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Schultz of Bourbonnais, Ill; a son, Lester of Spencer; a sister, Pauline Quillen of Crawfordsville 7 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Eight brothers, two sisters and a grandson are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday in West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N Montgomery St, Spencer, Ind with Rev. James Root officiating. A graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spencer Christian Church. -kbz
