Mrs. Mollie W. Sayler, 75, of Apt. J, Bel Aire Apts., 210 W. Main St., died at 10 p.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Paul D. Sayler. Her parents died when she was a young girl, and she was reared in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Penn near Browns Valley. She attended elementary school there and was graduated from Waveland High School. A native of Somerset, Ky., she was born Oct. 8, 1899, to William and Paunetta Williams Stewart. She married Mr. Sayler on Oct. 27, 1920, near New Market. He survives. Mrs. Sayler was a member of Browns Valley Baptist Church and New Richmond Order of Eastern Star. Surviving besides her husband are her foster mother, Mrs. Ruth Penn of Waveland; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward L. and Betty J. Sayler of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Lorene Bishop of Crawfordsville; a brother, Eddie Stewart of Ladoga; a sister, Mrs. Beatrice Ford of Roachdale, and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A sister and a great-grandson are deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Revs. Phillip Hodgkins and P.J. Hamilton, the latter of Richmond, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
