Sayler - Luna Noble

Luna Gay Sayler, 88, died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday in her home in New Market. She had been in poor health for two years prior to her death. Mrs. Sayler had lived in New Market for most of her life and was a member of the New Market Methodist Church. Born Feb. 1, 1876, in Parke County, Mrs. Sayler was the daughter of Thomas and Sarah I. Connelley Noble. On Dec. 25, 1913, she married James Charles Sayler at Waveland. Mr. Sayler died on Nov. 5, 1948. Two sisters also preceded her in death. Survivors include two stepsons, Cline and Herman Sayler of New Market, and three step-grandsons. Also surviving are three nephews, Noble Reeves and Dwight Kelsey of New Market and Earl E. Kelsey Jr. of Crawfordsville; three nieces, Mrs. Earl Chambers and Mrs. Maurice Watson of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Hazel Reddish of New Market. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Reeves Funeral Home in New Market. Rev. Walter Porter will officiate. Burial will be in the Indian Creek Hill Cemetery near New Market.
