Sayler - James Charles

James Charles Sayler, 80, auctioneer and farmer of the New Market community most of his life, died Friday afternoon at his home here. He had been ill several months with a heart ailment. Born July 7, 1868 at Morton, Ind., Mr. Sayler was the son of William T. and Malinda Clodfelter Sayler. He was married twice, first to Winnie Spencer Dec. 21, 1893 and to Luna Noble Dec.25, 1913. Mr. Sayler was vice president and director of the New Market State bank, and a member of the New Market Christian church. He also was a 50-year member of the K. of P. Lodge. Surviving are the widow; two sons, Cline and Herman Sayler, both of New Market; three grandsons, Max, David, and John Charles Sayler; a great-grandson, Michael David Sayler, and a brother Harvey B. Sayler, also of New Market. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the New Market Christian Church, with burial at the Indian Creek Hill cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the family home.
