Sarver - Clifford

Clifford D. Sarver, 74, 401 W. Pike St., died at 5:15 a.m. Friday in Culver Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. He was born May 5, 1888, in Tippecanoe County and his parents were Albert J. and Luella Clarkson Sarver. On Aug. 2, 1911, he married Bina Thompson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was manager of Spring Ledge for many years and moved to Smartsburg in 1937 when his health failed. The couple moved to Crawfordsville in 1963. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Lanigan of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Helen Joliff of Indianapolis; two brothers, Earl Sarver and Hobart Sarver of near Yountsville; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Carlton G. Christenson officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Saturday.kbz
