Sarjent - Watson

Watson W. Sarjent, 78 of 607 Parke Ave, died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital where he had been a patient two days. He farmed most of his adult life in Illinois and Montgomery County and after retiring in 1945 was employed six years at Culver Hospital. Mr. Sarjent was a native of Milford, Ill, born sept 7, 1888 to WIlliam and Martha Johnston Sarjent. He was married Feb 5, 1913 to Ruby N. Breeding who survives. He was a member of the K of P and Modern Woodmen lodges at New Market. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. James Keller of New Market and Mrs. Russell Morrison of near Crawfordsville; three sons, Goerge of Lafayette and Warren and Robert of Crawfordsville; a brother, Bert of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Laura Martin of Hoopeston and 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A granddaughter is deceased. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home where friends may call after 1 p.m. Monday. Rev. Esmond Elliott will be the officiating minister and interment in Masonic Cemetery here.
